Recognized as one of the leading experts in the franchise community, Richard “Dick” Rennick has provided consulting services for many established, emerging and internationally-based franchise systems, including the Dwyer Group, Great Harvest Bakeries, Roto-Rooter, Two Men and a Truck, Rent Your Boxes and Frames N Panes. He has worked with them to evaluate their franchise business model, recommend improvements to their programs and processes, helped them launch their concepts, served as their Interim CEO and franchisor advocate.
He is well-known in the franchise community as the founder and CEO of American Leak Detection, the Palm Springs, California-based high-tech service firm. By the time he sold the company in 2007, it had grown to more than 360 franchises in 44 states and 13 foreign countries. At TEAM Rennick, he is focusing on his passion, which is to be a mentor and coach for young entrepreneurs, and teach them how to start a franchise business, based on his life-long experience in the industry.
Rennick has been an active member of the International Franchise Association (IFA), the world's oldest and largest trade association representing the franchise sector, for more than five decades. He was appointed Chairman of the IFA Board of Directors for the 2005/2006 term, and appointed Chairman of the IFA Educational Foundation in 2002 – 2004. He also founded the association's Franchise Emergency Action Team (FEAT), a non-profit network that mobilizes the franchise community to help people affected by disasters, and currently serves on the board's executive committee.
